On September 1 this year, the Minister of the Interior announced a new visa program called the Malaysia Advanced Visa Program (PVIP), which aims to attract high-net-worth foreigners, successful businessmen and the rich.
The target for the first year was to attract 1,000 participants. Many people thought it was a difficult task, but the result may prove wrong, because the Ministry of the Interior subsequently revealed that they had received 20,000 applications from intermediaries within 24 hours of launching the PVIP program.
